Lady Peachena is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, for her song, "DANCING IN THE SPIRIT," and a well-known Gospel psalmist. She started singing publicly, in church, Holy Temple COGIC, & in her school, Salisbury Elementary School, in Salisbury, MD, when she was only 5 years young.
Lady Peachena believes that she was her father's favorite singer, because he asked her to sing many times as a youngster. She didn't realize it then, but she was developing her craft as a singer, many times singing without a mic or amplification. This may explain why her voice is so powerful, in some cases, she still doesn't need a microphone, and you'll definitely feel the anointing whenever she sings.
This Gospel diva has been busy promoting Gospel music for the past 20 years all over the NYC/NJ/CT metro area. She was one of the first to inaugurate the Sunday Gospel Brunch when she produced a series of Sunday Gospel concerts at the landmark Village Gate called, GOSPEL AT THE GATE,  in the Fall of 1988. During that time she presented such Gospel Artists as: The Institutional Radio Choir, Rev. Timothy Wright & Concert Choir, Rev. Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, The Jenkins Brothers, and The Revival Temple Mass Choir of Newark, NJ.
A longtime educator, Lady Peachena was a teacher in New York City's Public School System for over 24 years. She's very concerned about crime in our inner cities, and this year she decided to do something about it. This energetic lady produced several free "STOP THE GUN VIOLENCE! YOUTH RALLIES, this past summer at several parks and playgrounds in Brooklyn & Queens urging young people to stop the killings, to respect the rights of others, and to walk away when heated situations arise. It's just not worth it to take someone's life.
Lady Peachena has also released a new CD, "DIVINE RESTORATION," a refreshingly enjoyable Urban Contemporary album that has a song entitled, "NOT ANOTHER CHILD," which focuses on urban violence, and urges our youth to stop the hate. Without a doubt, this riveting anti-gun violence ballad should be played on every radio station across this nation to encourage  young people to stop the bloodshed. Consequently, Lady Peachena plans to produce more "STOP THE GUN VIOLENCE! Youth Rallies next year.
Lady Peachena is a member of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle, in the East New York section of Brooklyn, NY, and her senior pastor is Bishop Hezekiah Walker. She's the choir director for the Kingdom Kids 'N Praise Choir, and she sings with LFT'S Rhema Choir, as well as the Grammy Award-winning choir, The Love Fellowship Church Choir.
Lady Peachena is committed to making a difference in this world, and she's an active member of Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network. Last year, he appointed her as Chair-Lady of NAN's Education Dept., and she's reaching out to other educators to join her. She also sings in NAN's Change Choir, and she's in the process of forming a youth choir for NAN.
